xtide won't start

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xtide

Stock Edgy installation.
Architecture: amd64
Xtide Version: 2.8.2-3ubuntu1

Tide and xttpd work, but xtide won't start, reports:

richard@plunker:~$ xtide
X Error of failed request: BadName (named color or font does not exist)
  Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
  Serial number of failed request: 27
  Current serial number in output stream: 30

It works fine for me on i386. Are you running anything special like Xgl, Beryl or Compiz?

Xtide now works fine after an upgrade to Feisty on the same amd64, with
or without beryl or compiz.
