Bug Description

This is an old issue, solved by manual compilation and installation of acer_acpi http://code.google.com/p/aceracpi/

My notebook is an Acer Aspire 3023 WLMi

bcm43xx-fwcutter works very nicely when installed from Synaptic.

ACPI in Feisty cannot turn on my WiFi card until I have acer_acpi installed.

It would be nice if Ubuntu could come with an acer_acpi.deb, because almost no-one wants to compile it themselves.

A solution for Dapper, which works with modification in Feisty, is here: http://doube.net/bcm4318.html
