Bug Description
When building libusb from scratch and doing make install it is installed to /usr/local/lib whereas the package installed libraries are installed to /usr/lib.

This is normal for locally built libraries. If you want to build and install a modified version of the installed library, download the source package, modify that, and build that using the tools in the Debian package management system. Note that the results of any local changes you make are not guaranteed and getting your system back to a working state is not supported.
