Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-i810

Current X server doesn't check if the resolution is available on internal monitor after I disconnect external monitor,
so I sometimes have to switch resolution from VT console. Unfortunately, it causes the crash each time.
Equipment is X41 with i915 Intel graphics card.

1. Start X server.
2. Switch to VT.
3. Configure display to command from VT:
$ export DISPLAY=:0.; export XAUTHORITY=~/.Xauthority
4. Try to switch video mode with xrandr:
$ xrandr -s 1
[If resolution hasn't been used before.]
5. See that X server crashed.

Could you please recheck it with Gutsy Final Live CD? In Gutsy i810 driver is deprecated and intel driver is used instead.
