Bug Description

When the resolution is higher than 1280x1024@60, the window does not fit entirely on the monitor. The optimum resolution for my monitor is 1400x1050@60, but when I select that resolution, the screen is offset to the right and my monitor cannot adjust enough to put the entire window on the monitor. My graphics card is a Radeon X300 and I am running Xubuntu 7.04 beta.

I am using the restricted drivers now for my ati card and that seems to fix the problem. However, it still has issues on the live boot when I can't use the restricted drivers. Also, the system doesn't always detect the available resolutions correctly and the user is forced to manually run the configuration and select what resolutions to allow.

Please try with Hardy alpha4 livecd, this is probably fixed by now.
