Binary package hint: xfonts-terminus

Aliases described in /etc/X11/fonts/X11R7/misc/xfonts-terminus.alias are not available after installing the package.

I can't use these either. After installation:

$ xterm -fn terminus-14
xterm: unable to open font "terminus-14", trying "fixed"....

They do work in gnome-terminal, however.

Here is one workaround, though it may be an extremely wrong way to do it:

sudo sh -c "cat /etc/X11/fonts/X11R7/misc/xfonts-terminus.alias >> /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc/fonts.alias"
xset fp rehash

This bug is fixed in Debian's xfonts-terminus package version 4.20-6.

xfonts-terminus (4.20-6) unstable; urgency=low

  * Install the alias files in their proper place /etc/X11/fonts/misc.
