Hi Richard, it appears your system is misconfigured a bit:

You may want to try restoring the original /etc/debconf.conf file. You can do so with:

apt-get download debconf
sudo dpkg -i --force-confnew debconf_*.deb

Thank you for writing. I figured out that my debconf was corrupted and
fixed the problem shortly after the bug was reported. Guess I should have
reported the fix. Sorry. Will be sure to do that in the future.
