The reason for the crash is probably the same as for bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libx11/+bug/107732 .

Installing Opera 9.20 from the Opera website should fix that.

Installation of Opera from the edgy-commercial (6.10) repository is not possible at the moment due to
dependency problems. See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/107655

I reject this since the original reporter did not really provide any useful info and as pirx67 already said, it is probably a duplicate. Feel free to reopen if the state of things changes.
