new user added: touchpad and terminal doesn't work

Bug Description

I added a new user with his relative new group, I logged in and i noticed two sttrange things:
- touchpad wasnt working
- terminal doesn't display username@pcname:~$ but only ~$ (this happens only with the new user I created

Both problems aren't related to this package:
- (I don't know anything about the touchpad, but this should be a setting concerning the whole system or can be configured in your favourite desktop environment.
- you can configure this in your .bashrc; if you want every user to have a predefined .bashrc, place it under /etc/skel

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
