Gnome random screen / window distortion

Bug Description

Unfortunately I did not find a way to reproduce this. It seems to happen completely random. Most of the time however, the distortion concerns "save file" dialogs. But I have seen this in evolution and in the panel as well.

Some windows or new elements on the screen get rendered with distortion. When regions of this distorted window become covered with another window, the distortion disappears when the overlaying window is removed again. Have a look at the attached screenshots.

I did not see this behavior in any KDE apps so far.

I have also attached my xorg.conf. I have a Nvidia VGA chip [nVidia Corporation NV43 [GeForce Go 6200 TurboCache].

Newer Nvidia drivers have been released. Do you still have this problem?
