Binary package hint: evince

problem:
- not printing single pages pdf from evince and kpdf
   - no errors in logs. it is reported that document was printed correctly.

other:
- from acrobat there is no problem with printing single pages,
- printing 2, 4 and more pages on one side and on double sides works on evince and kpdf,
- on drapper it was working ok,
- on edgy it was impossible to work, similar problem, but worse, ..

printer:
- aficio ap 3800c
   - but i dont think that this problem is related to hardware.

simple, i open a pdf document, i send it to the printer, and as normal it should be ok, but printer is recieving data and stops. it happens only when i am trying to print single paged dokuments (one page on one sheet, or two pages on two sides of the sheet) but all is ok when i want to print 2, 4, 8 and more pages on one sheet one sided or double sided. it is weird. problem was similiar on previos version of ubuntu (ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu) but it was worse, no printing at all. printer was recieving datas but was stopping just after. but not from acrobat! all native viewers seems to have same problems.

on drapper all was ok. i print a lot of, .. a lot.

printing from openoffice is not a problem, it just works.

what version of Ubuntu do you use? Could you attach a pdf example to the bug?

I can't print pdf-documents too.

like: http://www.stadtwerke-zittau.de/spez/sondervertrag_haushalt_bedingungen.pdf

The logfiles under /var/log/cups/ are empty.

OS: Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (gutsy)
Printer: Brother DCP-130C
CUPS-Driver: cupswrapper and lpr-deb's for Brother DCP130C from the brother-website,
because the cups-driver from gutsy doesn't work.
