Bug Description
Binary package hint: mdadm
This problem is nearly identical to:

However, in my scenario, booting with break=mount will not always cause my serial drives (sda and sdb) to appear and will never cause my Raid 1 array (md) to appear, however /dev will have a number of contents. Furthermore, doing a ctrl-d or exiting out of the initramfs prompt only causes it to pause momentarily before dropping me back into the initramfs prompt, however this time with only a single "console" entity residing in /dev.
I have attempted many of the fixes discussed in the related reports, but I cannot seem to escape the initramfs prompt. Please let me know what I can do to help further.
This began occurring after an apt-get upgrade from edgy to feisty.
