Bug Description

http://www.conduit-project.org/

"Conduit is a synchronization solution for GNOME which allows the user to take their emails, files, bookmarks, and any other type of personal information and synchronize that data with another computer, an online service, or even another electronic device.

Conduit manages the synchronization and conversion of data into other formats. For example, conduit allows you to;

    * Synchronize your tomboy notes to a file on a remote computer
    * Synchronize your emails to your mobile phone
    * Synchronize your bookmarks to delicious, gmail, or even your own webserver
    * and many more...

Any combination you can imagine, Conduit will take care of the conversion and synchronization. "

Dependencies:

    * goocanvas
    * pygoocanvas
    * python elementtree
    * python sqlite3

I wasn't able to find a package in debian for conduit, so I think it will need to be packaged from scratch.

Actually, it looks like there's v0.2 package for edgy at http://www.conduit-project.org/wiki/Releases which would be a good starting point. v0.3 is on the way.

Conduit looks really great and could be the centrale piece to solve all our synchronisation requirements as this spec for example: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+spec/multiple-computers-sync
