Monitor: ViewSonic VA930m LCD monitor

Per the manufacturer's data a 60Hz refresh rate at 1280x1024 is optimal (or native).

I have an NVIDIA 7600GS 256 Mb video card and am using the current restricted nvidia driver in Feisty Fawn 7.04

I am using "nvidia-settings" (located in usr/bin) to view and set the refresh rate.

I don't know which is correct (gnome-display-properties or nvidia-settings).

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
