Philllip,

thanks for reporting this bug. To be able to find the problem a bit more information is required. Could you explain a bit more about what you were doing. Was this an upgrade from edgy to feisty or a new install from a CD? It sounds like an upgrade tool rather than a new install. It would also be helpful if you could provide log files. If you were running an upgrade from edgy to feisty then the relevant logs will be in /var/log/dist-upgrade. If this was an install from CD then the appropriate logs would be in /var/log/installer.

Hi, Just following up on this bug. Will you be able to provide these log files? (you will have to repeat the install attempt with the same Live CD to get them) Without the logs we will not be able to follow up this issue further.
