once beryl is closed 8 desktops appear

Bug Description
Binary package hint: beryl-core
If I'm using berly I have 4 desktops, as soon as I choose Kwin window manager I get 8 desktops. I had this problem using edgy too.

Beryl is replaced by Compiz Fusion, so has been removed from Gutsy.
