Bug Description

I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty from a clean install of 6.10. Now when i try to login the text box doesn't register the first stroke of any key, so i have to press <random key><my username> or the first letter in my username is omitted. I haven't changed any setting to do with the login screen.
