Slow Wireless with Encrypted Network on Thinkpad R31

Bug Description

I have an IBM Thinkpad R31 currently running Feisty and experience slow wireless speeds when connected to my encrypted network. I had the same experience while running Edgy as well.

Essentially, it is only when encrypted that the wireless is slow. When I connect to open networks I have decent speeds; however, on encrypted wireless, webpages load over the course of 5-10 minutes. I have tried two separate wireless cards with the same results. It is not my network as with the same settings my WinXP laptop works perfectly with the encrypted wireless network.
