Bug Description
Will be working with multiple panes open and system freezes, no reaction from mouse, keyboard. Need to hard reboot. can take 5 mins to half an hour after reboot.

Think problem may be associated with desktop packaged with 12.04. Switched to gnome classic - problem dissappeared
