Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

helpcontent2-scalc-01 in Ubuntu Feisty package "openoffice.org"

I was trying to run msgmerge and the following was returned:

en_GB.po:2797: end-of-line within string
en_GB.po:2797:3: invalid control sequence
en_GB.po:2804: end-of-line within string
en_GB.po:2804:3: invalid control sequence
msgmerge: found 4 fatal errors

running msgfmt essentially returns the same result.
.po was downloaded directly from Rosetta. No changes were done to the file before running msgmerge

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
