Bug Description

Binary package hint: file-roller

when downloading a .doc file in opera web browser achive manager window opens and says the file type isn't supported. on the second attempt openoffice-writer opens the file just fine. however, archive viewer opens again with the error message and continues to on repeated attempts. this is more an annoyance.

if this attachment goes through... there's a picture of my desktop. i'm basically clicking on an attachment on a forum service where i work. the attachment is a MS Word Document with a .doc extension. i'm using the opera web browser. opera seems to handle everything just fine except that file-roller (guessing that's what Archive Manager is) also opens up and gives the error in the image i submitted.

if i click on the attachment and then select "Save" and save it to my desktop file-roller does not open. when I then go to my desktop and open the file from there file-roller doesn't open there either. it only happens when i open the file from within opera.

Press CTRL+F12>Advanced>Downloads - there should be a MIME typer application/msword. Look at it and edit it to your needs. If that helps you, close this bug, please.

is it still an issue? Although it seems to me to be misconfiguration more than anything else.
