Bug Description

Is there a way to disable the "There is a new version of Kubuntu available?" dialog. I have a machine at work that I do not want to dist-upgrade for a while, and I do not want anyone else to inadvertently do it. Can I lock it to edgy, or maybe add a "Remind me in XXX YYY."

I can file a feature wish bug if needed. I have looked in /etc, /usr/share/, /root/.kde/, cannot find anything pertinent.

Steve,

As far as I'm aware adept does not have this function. That makes this a wishlist rather than a bug per se. There is no need to file a separate report, this bug can be set as 'wishlist' under importance. We just need someone from Ubuntu-qa to do it. I'll assign the bug to me and try to get this done.

Just following up on this. What is being described is basically version pinning. I've just found there is already a report on the wishlist requesting this so I'll mark this as a duplicate of that one.
