Bug Description

Binary package hint: libhunspell-dev

the 1.1.5-6 update from the gutsy repos causes firefox and openoffice writer to crash after text is entered. in firefox this only happens when text is entered in a box such as a reply on a forum (i.e. one that utilizes spell check). downgrading to package 1.1.4-7 solves the problem. i fixed my problem before recording crash logs myself but according to the forum other people found these errors:

symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/firefox/components/libmyspell.so: undefined symbol: _ZN8Hunspell5spellEPKc

reez@aLeXeNdeRreEz:~$ ooffice -writer %U
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/libspell680li.so: undefined symbol: _ZN8Hunspell5spellEPKc

** (process:748: WARNING **: Unknown error forking main binary / abnormal early exit ...

Today's automatic updates fixed firefox "spell check as you write" crash:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070504 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.3

Along with the spell check fix the fonts shrank to eyestrain tiny. How to fix?

However, Office Word Processor "spell check as you write" still crashes.
