Bug Description
Using: Feisty 7.04 LiveCD
Hardware: HP nc8430 with ATI Mobility x1600, 1280x800
It seems like there's a problem with the VESA drivers included on the LiveCD. VESA goes through all the possible screen resolutions, but finds none that are accetpable (hsync too high in all cases). X server thus fails to start, and the LiveCD is unusable.
Safe graphics mode and VGA=771 boot options were attempted to no avail.
This is a new problem that didn't occur with either Dapper or Edgy on the same hardware.
