Bug Description

I have an old Dell Pentium III computer that I am trying to install Xubuntu on for my brother-in-law.

This computer utilizes an on-board Crystal Semiconductor ES4236 sound card.

Since I am getting NO sound, I assume it is because Xubuntu is NOT detecting and configuring this hardware device during the O/S install. (the sound card is completely functional, since it works perfectly under that other O/S).

Since this is a very old piece of hardware, I am very suprised that this O/S is not properly detecting and configuring this device. Can we get someone to work on this ???

Will be glad to give you any further hardware details which you might require.

Thanks.
