gnome-theme-manager hangs selecting glossy theme

Bug Description

I have a fresh installation of feisty. If I select Glossy theme the UI slowly hangs. The only thing I can do is ctrl+alt+backspace to quit from X.
After that I have to remove .gconf directory to be able to log in again.

Update: it does not depend on the theme. For some reason if I close gnome-theme-manager the application is still present in ps -x output. And if I restart the application I have multiple instances running, Maybe this is the cause of the problem.

Update: another user with a fresh gnome environment does not suffer the same problem. I think something of my .gnome* settings are messed up (though I didn't do anything special). I copied my home directory from a edgy installation on my old notebook.
The other thing I noticed is that the theme manager doesn't show theme previews near theme names (screenshot attached)

As Pedro, I also cannot reproduce this issue with Gutsy. Please update your Ubuntu because we uploaded a new version of gnome-themes (2.20.0).
