Unfortunately there is nothing Ubuntu can do. Lexmark printers in general have very little or no Linux support. Unless Lexmark makes detailed technical information available (and they do not appear to do so), it is not feasible for third parties to write printer drivers. The closest model I could find at linuxprinting.org is http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Lexmark-x2450. I'd suggest you contact Lexmark and encourage them to provide Linux driver support.
