Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

i am running feisty on my inspiron 6000. finally went to hook up a 2nd monitor to it, and couldnt get the administrator rights. sometimes it will ask me for my credentials, but the when i make a change (enable 2nd screen + dual screen), the <apply> button stays greyed out. any change I make is ignored.
If i configure the 2nd monitor ( a dell P1130) it doesnt accept change due to the greyed out button. Also, and changes to the power save options are also ignored.
I have tried with beryl / without beryl / rebooting, etc
also, the 2nd monitor is very 'shaky'. the text is wobbling and shaking quite badly. it is unreadable.
let me know if there are any questions or followup required.

What video card do you have? If you have nvidia, I recommend using nvidia-settings as a workaround.

Displayconfig is unmaintained and nonexistent in Intrepid, so this won't be fixed.
