Bug Description

The siliconmotion device driver does not recognise a resolution of 800x480 (OQO 01+ native screen size) and insists on coming up in 800x600 mode.

The driver appears to be unwilling to accepts a modeline entry to correct this.

Resorting to the vesa driver, recognises the modeline and will function short term as a work around but the spedd of the native driver is lost.

There is a description of tweaks to the driver code on the oqo unsupported web site that worked for Hoary and have sort of worked in each version since.

Is it possible to have this as tweak to the driver ergo for it to become part of the distribution so that it just works ???

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hi aka47,

Thanks for reporting this issue. Could you please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files, and the output from running `lspci`?
