Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
I'm using feisty fawn, gnome and metacity. If a maximized window gets hidden (either by clicking on the symbol in the notification area to hide the window, or by switching to fullscreen mode) and then gets shown again it's not maximized, but it is just a window which is expanded on the whole screen.
For example if you switch to fullscreen mode in a maximized Firefox window and then switch back to normal mode the window isn't maximized anymore.
This also happens with other programs such as:
- Kaffeine
- Amarok
- Skype
But it's not limited to QT apps, as you can see with the Firefox example.
Apps where this bug doesn't occur:
- Pidgin (maybe some other gtk programs, but i haven't tested others)
I think this is a metacity bug, because with other window managers (like the one Beryl uses) this problems doesn't exist.
