Bug Description

I have a pair of Logitec V20 USB speakers. They work fine in OS X, but am unable to get any sound out of them with kubuntu 7.04

The settings that finally worked were to set Amarok to use ALSA for the output plug-in.

I've looked at the notes in the forum but no luck
   http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=303225&highlight=logitech+v20

I've tried many permutations of settings within amarok and kcontrol (sound system - system settings -> select the audio device)

Amarok -> configure -> engine:
  alsa
  oss (/dev/dsp and /dev/sound/dsp)
  pulse audio

Only alsa seems to produce sound.

I've tried a lot of combinations of configurations for output plug-in within XMMS but not found one that will produce sound.

Kcontrol seems to be ignored entirely. If I have alsa chosen in Amarok, then choosing any of the options below does not affect the sound:
  autodetect
  open sound system
  advanced linux sound architecture
  enlightened sound daemon
  network audio system (crashes)
  threaded open sound system
