[EDGY] thunderbird crashed [@nsAccessible::GetFocusedChild] [@nsAccessible]

Bug #114246 reported by Waldo Rochow

Affects Status Importance Assigned to Milestone
thunderbird (Ubuntu)
Invalid

Bug Description

Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird

This is very easy to reproduce.
1) Start a new message.
2) Save that message (The original occurance happened after the system auto-saved, so that would count too.)
3) Add a bullet to the body of the message and enter some text.
4) Hit enter, and then the indent button (as you would to create a nested empty bullet).
If you still see Thunderbird, it didn't fail for you as it does for me.

Work-around:
Create all your bullets (with text), and then indent them after they are created.

Thank you Waldo Rochow for your report.

Do you have any thunderbird extensions/plugins enabled? If so, can you reproduce the crash using a fresh profile.

Thanks in advance.

Hilario:

No, I don't have any extensions. Mine is a plain Thunderbird install.

Also, further to the details of the bug report, if you try to backspace out of a black bullet on a saved email, the same crash occurs.

This is quite annoying. I find myself now writing my long emails in Open Office, and then copying them over to Thunderbird when ready to send.

Waldo
