Bug Description

hi,

i've just installed kubuntu feisty fawn (i386) on my laptop today. But now no acpi-support is working. It seems to me, there is no acpi in the ubuntu-kernel (i can't imagine). The directory /proc/acpi does not exist, battery-state and cpu-throtteling do not work. The acpi moduls are not loadable. (battery, thermal, etc..)

In dapper everything was ok.

Hi,
I solved the problem by adding "acpi=force" to my kernel boot parameters. Everything is fine now!
