Bug Description

I just installed Ubuntu 7.04 but I haven't gotten it to load yet. I can input my user name and password just fine but in all startups other than terminal failsafe the following happens:

Nautilus comes up and several icons appear then it disappears
task bars appear at the top and bottom but nothing is on them
music plays but is cut off
ctrl alt f1 works: terminal has the following:

kinit: name_to_dev_t( /dev/disk/by-uuid[random letters])=h
kinit: trying to resume from /dev/disk/by_uuid/[letters and numbers]
kinit: no resume image, doing normal boot.

Also, the first time I tried to log on a box popped up saying something about restricted drivers and my graphics card.

Can anyone please help me? Detailed instructions are appreciated as I'm really new to linux.

Thanks
