I can't maximize the Ktorrent window with the screen at 1024x768

A pach to fix this bug was sent by Joris Guisson at kde-bugs #145369. Can somebody make this change in the ubuntu package?

Fixed in Gutsy

On version 2.2 there is a similar problem. Now, the problem is the "Estado" (State) tab. This tab is too big and, again, the window overflows the screen (at 1024x768).
I report this on KDE bugs.
So, I reopen this report.

It was fixed on the KDE bugtracking. The problem was the status bar. Can you commit this to Gutsy?

I had the same problem with the 2.2 - Now I use the Ubuntu-package from the ktorrent-homepage (Version 2.2.1).

At first the bug seemed to be fixed as there is no overlaping on the sides anymore.

Here is what I get now:

ktorrent remembers the size and produces the same error after restarting kde. It is possible to change the size on the sides - but not in the height.

sorry. I am using KDE 3.5.6 on feisty.

The package from the official ubuntu archives just came in and is installed (2.2.1 ubuntu feisty). - The secondary bug is still present.

It is still not possible to change any window or part of a window in its height. (Width works now)
As an addition it is not possible anymore to change for example to another view in the information window module because the lower buttons are not reachable. See the screenshot above as an example.

I think the problem is with the minimum height of the lower part of the screen (info widget, connection statistics etc.), which seems to change - if I enlarge the height of the upper part of the window (the torrent list) and shrink it again, the minimum height of the info widget has become larger than before. My ktorrent window currently persists in having a minimum height of 3431 pixels, and I only have a 1280x1024 pixels resolution :(.
If I unload all plugins or just deselect the widgets in the lower part of the screen, I can adapt the screen size normally again.

In the following section In the ktorrentrc file:

The ViewWidth section seems to be used as *height* on ktorrent startup, not as width. I think this has something to do with this bug.

Works for me now (Gutsy, ktorrent version 2.2.1-0ubuntu3) - my previously ktorrent package has not been updated to a new version yet, the problem probably came from some other package

I have the same problem with the Info Widget, the lower part gets way to high and won't resize (my screen is 1280 x 800)

First with Feisty and ktorrent 2.2.1 / KDE 3.5.6

And now still with Gutsy and both 2.2.1 and 2.2.2 / KDE 3.5.7

I can confirm the very same problem on Ktorrent 2.2.5 / KDE 3.5.8 / Gutsy.

I just went crazy testing this with Hardy which has KDE 3.5.9 and KTorrent 2.2.5 due to Jonathan's comment. My specs are 1280x800 and everything resizes perfectly and I have no problems with the info widget either. If you are still experiencing this issue, then could you please open a new report for the info widget with screenshots and further information please. This report was originally for 'maximizing KTorrent with a 1024x768 resoultion' which was resolved. Thanks!
