Bug Description

I have an NVidia GeForce FX 5600 with dual monitors. The dell is plugged into the digital out. It also does it in the analog out too. with one monitor or two attached.

It happens only after Amarok has been started up..

widen Amarok to the length of the screen but make it short it height. Now grab the bottom of the window I pull it down to the bottom of the desktop. The screen will magnify slightly. Shorten the window and the screen un-magnifies. Weird.

not a big deal, but it doesnt do it on my viewsonic G220fb

this might be an indication that the nvidia drivers might have some issue, who knows. Its not a problem, just feedback.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Do you mean that your whole display will magnify and not just the amarok application? Additionally are you using KDE? Thanks in advance.

I use gnome. Right, its the entire display.

It has been a bit subdued in the last day, however, to be fair, I have been trying to cover all angles & messed a lot with my monitor hardware settings & connection. Perhaps the rapid pixel change causes the hardware some stress.

It might be good to just file this bug somewhere & see if this happens to anyone else.

Wow, this is weird.

Can you please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files?

Hi Kevin,

Are you still having this issue? If so, could you please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files? Otherwise, we cannot easily investigate this further.
