Bug Description

Binary package hint: ntfs-config

1) Installed ntfs-config
2) Opened ntfs write configuration tool
3) Error in mounting: Mounting /media/hda1 failed. /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.so.2: version `FUSE_2.6' not found (required by /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g)

Installed libfuse in Synaptic:
libfuse2 2.6.3-1ubuntu2

You have an older version of libfuse in /usr/local/lib/ which is used instead of the system one in /usr/lib/ (see the error message).

Simply uninstall the locally installed version of libfuse.

Thanks! I just renamed the old libraries. That fixed it. I forgot that the offending lib came from an old custom install.
