Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg-driver-synaptics

Hello list,

My xserver reports errors loading the synaptics touchpad driver (see below). "evdev" kernel module and xorg module(s) is/are installed and appear to be loaded, event device nodes exist (see below). The hardware: Toshiba Satellite 5200 notebook (nvidia source: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (2.6.20.5-15.20), Version: 1:1.0.9631+2.6.20.5-15.20).

Please let me know what's wrong - thanks.

Bye,
Ferd

Hi Adam,

Thanks for asking and sorry for the missing information.

I no longer run (k)ubuntu on that notebook so I can't tell. Just to
answer your question, when I reported the "bug" I was running the
latest updated packages on the latest kubuntu version at the time -
whatever version that was.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Ferdinand
