Bug Description
My System is :
AMD K8 Athlon 64
Ubuntu 6.06 LTS
GNOME 2.14.3 07/31/2006
Openoffice.org-base 2.02-2ubuntu12.3-1
ia32-libs-gtk 16.2
ia32-libs-
scim 1.4.4-1 ubuntu12 (gtk2-immodule, libscim8c2a, no skim)
It appears to me that the 32 bit library im-scim.so is missing :
When I call : ~$ ooffice --writer
It tells me : (soffice.
... I have then have added the missing ...
im-scim.so
however then 'ooffice --writer' told me that there were other libs missing like
libscim-1.0.so.8
libscim-
... however this is far beyond my knowledge ;-)
my computer:~$ aptitude search ia32-libs

my computer:~$ locale | grep LANG= LANG=en_US.UTF-8
en_US.UTF-8 is fine, however I cannot input Simplified Chinese in Openoffice . SCIM does not recognize Oo . I can cut and paste Chinese Characters though.
All other programs like firefox, swiftfox, gimp, abiword, sylpheed are probably fine with SCIM so far ...
