Hibernate stops functioning after memory upgrade

Bug Description

Summary: Had hibernation working in Ubuntu Edgy, with the stock system specs for a Compaq Presario 2104US laptop. Added 512MB of memory and hibernation stopped working. Upgraded Ubuntu to feisty, and nothing changed.

Your swap partition does not seem to be mounted. From 'free' we see "Swap: 0 0 0". In your '/etc/fstab' your swap partition is listed as having "UUID=9faec24c-2b40-40f9-bcea-d5a088c760d2". I suspect this is wrong. You could check by using 'sudo vol_id /dev/hda5' if '/dev/hda5' is your swap partition. After finding the correct UUID update your '/etc/fstab' and then execute 'sudo swapon -a'. This should resolve your issue. Thanks!
