centrino duo sensors need a kernel patch

Have you tried compiling the coretemp module source against the Ubuntu 2.6.20-generic headers or applying this patch to the Ubuntu kernel source? Easier than compiling and maintaining a homebrew kernel.

I didn't make myself clear, when I wrote I build a custom kernel, what I did was that I built a custom kernel from the ubuntu kernel source with this patch applied, using the debian tools.
I am right now running that kernel, and the patch is the only difference from the ubuntu 2.6.20.3 kernel sources.

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package. The coretemp sensor has been in the kernel since hardy (kernel >= 2.6.22 includes the module, as was written in the bug report).
