Bug Description
Binary package hint: k3b
When I create video DVDs with k3b 1.0 and 1.0.1 on Kubuntu 7.04 from VIDEO_TS/AUDIO_TS sources, I get video DVDs which my Samsung Home Theater HT-Q20 can't read, saying
"PLAY PROHIBITED" "PLEASE, CHECK DISC"
With ubuntu 6.10 with k3b 0.12.17 on the same hardware and same media, I get perfect video-DVDs.
With graveman on kubuntu 7.04 I also get good video-DVDs.
I think the Samsung Home Theater HT-Q20 is quite picky about the format of the video-DVDs as my el-cheapo CyberHome *can* play the k3b 1.0+ DVDs, but the point is that k3b 1.0+ burns the DVDs in a different way which causes this problem.
Something else, possibly related: with k3b 1.0+, the resulting DVDs have lowercase directory names, ie "video_ts" instead of "VIDEO_TS". I can workaround this with mount option "-o map=off", but it still is a 'signal'.
I've contacted Sebastian Trueg on this, but no real progress so far.
Sadly I cannot reproduce this. Do you experience the same problem with gutsy? Is there anyone who could confirm this?
