gtranslator produces weird error message with previously opened file

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gtranslator

If you try to open a file that another instance of gtranslator is using you receive the following message:

> is already open in another instance of gtranslator!
> Please close the other instance of gtranslator handling
> this file currently to re-gain access to this file.

> Shall fool gtranslator open this file anyway ?

I am not sure what the "fool" is doing there.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?
