Bug Description

xfce4-weather-plugin version 0.8.1-0ubuntu1 has a bug in the search function, as reported in bug #9636 upstream:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9636

In addition, the upstream website advises to upgrade to version 0.8.3:
http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-weather-plugin

Can we get a bump to the latest version?

The weather plugin stopped working before as well, and an update was (eventually) released. Just a waiting game, I suppose. Hopefully not too long, as this bug also affects the LTS which we will have for years.

saucy and trusty are fixed. Could you update to one of those?
If you can find what git commits fixed this, we might be able to get it fixed. I'm not sure if it's a big enough issue though.

Could you please request a backport of 0.8.3-1 to precise, quantal, and raring?

This bug isn't really enough of an issue to SRU, but backports should be fine.

Bear in mind that Raring is going "End of Life" in 4 days, too, please.
