when i open a archive .pps and close it, my openoffice open a new document, always!

My openoffice is a 2.2 and when i open a file .pps or .ppt and close them the openoffice open a new document without my request.

  I think I have the same problem, in two computers running Ubuntu Feisty, one i386 based and the other amd64. The problem I have is that everytime I open a pps file with openoffice and launch the presentation, when I close it I get the recovery for documents dialog (the same I get when some error ocurr and openoffice tries to recover the work done) and openoffice is restarted. If I don't launch the presentation (just open the pps file and work with the slides), I don't have this error.

  (I have attached a screenshot of the dialog).

I can confirm this bug on Feisty amd64. It launched the recovery dialogue, and opened OpenOffice Writer later. I'll take up this bug, if anyone helps me, as I'm new.

Additional Info: OpenOffice 2.2. The file opened was provided by Angel L. Mario above (Perico-2165.pps).

I have a thing more.. the fact that give me a crush error when I close the ppt application.. Do you receive the same crush error?
it say me:
"openoffice crushes due to an imprevedible error"..
a solution can be to install the official version?

no i'm not, it just open a new document after show me a window with error.
