Bug Description

Binary package hint: seahorse

The Trust tab in the Properties window of a public key isn't behaving as expected. For example, in a key I've signed, which has both "I have checked..." and "I trust signatures..." checked off, the revoke signature button is greyed out. If I uncheck "I trust signatures", the list of people who've signed it disappears and the Revoke button changes to a Sign this Key button (even though I've already signed it). If I then uncheck "I have checked...", the list appears for a second, the button changes to "Revoke Signature", then both disappear.

I can confirm this behaviour for Feisty and Gutsy. I didn't test other Ubuntu releases.

I can confirm this on Gusty 32bit with seahorse 2.20.1.

It's hard to explain everything that the bug report encompasses... basically, using the checkboxes in the Trust tab causes weird things to happen, like the list of keys signed by that particular key to appear and disappear.

To reproduce the thing that I noticed was wrong:
-Open Applications->Accessories->Passwords and Encryption Keys
-Go to the "Other Collected Keys" tab
-Right click on a public key you want to sign and click "Sign Key"
-Click "Sign"
-Right click it again and click "Properties"
-Go to the "Trust" tab
-The "Revoke Signature" button is grayed out. This is a problem if you no longer trust that the original owner owns the key.

-If you tick the box on the same tab that says "I trust signatures from (owner of key) on other keys" then the grayed out "Revoke Signature" button changes to a "Sign this Key" button, even though it is already signed. When you untick the box, it stays as a "Sign this Key" button.
