Hello
I see several reports of keyboard/mouse not working after install
Here is another
I just got new HP Pavilion a6050y PC with PS2 mouse and keyboard
I try Ubuntu 6.10 live CD and keyboard/mouse don't respond
(I have installed 6.10 on another machine). THe keyboard and mouse
do work with Vista, which I want to get rid of. Also found that a USB mouse
works - don't particularly want to get another usb mouse and keyboard
It appears that HP is doing something special with PS2 ports - I have also
tried other keyboards and mice
(PS - I also posted on community forum)
Any ideas?

Please provide the following information:
1. What brand and model is your mouse/keyboard.
What mechanism does your mouse use: ball mouse, optical, trackball, ...
How many physical buttons and scrollwheels does you mouse have?
2. Attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log to this bug report.
3. Attach your /var/log/dmesg to this bug report.
