Bug Description

If I close session or swich user, gdm don't load. I've receite just a black screen. Ctrl + Alt + Backspace (or delete) don't work, my system freeze. To solve that I've to force a shutdown on my laptop via hardware.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, GDM 2.18.1.

Thank you for your bug. What xorg driver do you use? Does it happen with the ati open source one?

I'm using:

xorg (1:7.2-0ubuntu11) feisty;
xorg-driver-fglrx 7.1.0-8.34.8+2.6.20.5-16.28.

Sebastien, I'm desactivate xorg-driver-fglrx, and make a test using ati open source driver: the problem does not happen.

the bug is due to the closed source driver bug then, looks similar to bug #112198
