sound goes up and down

Bug Description

In my Ububtu the sound goes up and down without me doing something. It happens when I listen to mp3 or even some system sound.
Even when there's is no sound I heard the collums sound (ther's actually no sound just some kind of noise), going uo the volume and then down...

I'm a new user at Linux so if you want me to post some additional info, please guide me to do so.

Have you tried 2.6.20-16-generic (if you're not using a binary-only driver in linux-restricted-modules)?

I now have yje latest Ubuntu edition and the bug dissapear.
