Once I have logged in, after a while the computer freezes and there is nothing I can do to retrieve my lost information, I have to shut down..

Just noticed it could be something to do with Desktop Effects being on.

It's a graphics card error with the LG F1 series notebooks. No problem when desktop effects or any 3D rendering application is not run.
